1. Sceptre 30-inch Curved Gaming Monitor:
Sceptre 30-inch Curved Gaming Monitor Review:
Let’s talk about the Sceptre 30-inch Curved Gaming Monitor, a solid option to consider in the under $200 price range. This monitor has a curved display that offers an immersive gaming experience at an affordable price.
When it comes to competitive gaming, there are two important things to keep in mind: ghosting and latency. Ghosting happens when fast-moving objects on the screen leave a trail behind them, causing blurring. Latency, on the other hand, refers to the delay between your actions (like pressing a button) and seeing the corresponding result on the screen.
The Sceptre 30-inch Curved Gaming Monitor handles ghosting and latency reasonably well. It has a fast response time of only 2ms, which means it can minimize blurring and keep things sharp, especially in fast-paced games that require quick reactions.
Ghosting and Latency:
In terms of latency, the Sceptre monitor performs decently, providing a responsive gaming experience. While it may not offer the ultra-low latency of high-end gaming monitors, it still delivers a good level of responsiveness that works well for most casual and competitive gaming.
It’s important to note that ghosting and latency can be influenced by various factors, such as your graphics card, the game you’re playing, and the settings you choose. However, the Sceptre 30-inch Curved Gaming Monitor strikes a balance between price and performance, making it a viable choice for gamers on a budget.

HDR :
Unfortunately, the Sceptre 30-inch Curved Gaming Monitor does not support HDR technology ( HDR means high dynamic range), which enhances color and contrast for a more realistic visual experience.
The Pros:
- 75hz refresh rate gets rid of ghosting and motion blur
- Blue Light Shift Mode prevents eye fatigue
The Cons:
- Customers claimed that the display was not edgeless
- Very Expensive
2. Sceptre Curved 24-inch Gaming Monitor 1080p R1500:
Sceptre Curved 24-inch Gaming Monitor 1080p R1500 Review:
Refresh Rates:
This monitor comes with a refresh rate of 75Hz which is very less this is the negative point about this monitor but the price of this monitor is also cheap.
FreeSync:
If you have AMD GPU so the best option is to buy this monitor because this monitor has an AMD FreeSync feature and you will enjoy fast and smooth gaming. If you have NVidia GPU then you should prefer the monitor with GSync feature.
The Pros:
- 75hz refresh rate gets rid of ghosting and motion blur
- Blue Light Shift Mode prevents eye fatigue
The Cons:
- Customers claimed that the display was not edgeless
- Very Expensive
3. Dell 240Hz Gaming Monitor 24.5 Inch Full HD Monitor with IPS Technology:
Dell 240Hz Gaming Monitor 24.5 Inch Full HD Monitor with IPS Technology Review:
This monitor uses IPS panels, and as IPS panels are the best among all the panels, you will get a perfect 178° wide viewing angle.
This monitor has a peak brightness of 400 nits that’s good enough for a budget monitor, while the static contrast ratio amounts to around 1,000:1, which is standard for IPS monitors.
The stand of this monitor is also an outstanding part. The stand of this monitor is angular and stealthy, with different ergonomic adjustments including height, tilt, axis, and pivot. Its range of height is 130mm. It is an outstanding stand for budget display.
Let’s talk about the built quality of the Dell 240Hz Gaming Monitor which is very good and above the average. This Dell gaming monitor has two HDMI 2.0 ports and one DisplayPort 1.2 port. It has a total of four USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports with 5Gbps of bandwidth.
RGB Coverage:
It has 99% sRGB color coverage and 90% DCI-P3. Dell 240Hz Gaming Monitor covers the whole sRGB color space, and it also supports 8-bit color depth natively for 16.7 million colors. There is no RGB (Red, Green, and Blue ), and LED (light-emitting diode) light to add stylishness and originality.
Refresh Rates:
It has 240Hz refresh rates which allow for fast-moving visuals and gives you outstanding fast gaming.
Response Time:
This monitor has a 1ms GtG (Gray to Gray) response time which results in smooth performance, fast gameplay, and eliminates motion blur.
HDR:
The monitor doesn’t include speakers, a black frame insertion feature, and also it does not support HDR.
Color Performance:
The color performance of this monitor is good and trustworthy though this monitor is perfect for gaming. The accuracy of its color pairs well with reasonably on-target results for color temperature and gamma. This is an sRGB monitor and doesn’t target a wide color gamut such as DCI-P3. This is a common thing for budget gaming monitors.
The Pros:
- Wide viewing angles, accurate colors
- Plenty of features, including FreeSync up to 240Hz
- Fully ergonomic stand and rich connectivity options
- Not expensive
The Cons:
- IPS glow and mediocre contrast ratio (as expected from this panel technology)
- No MBR
4. Acer Nitro KG241Y Sbiip 23.8” Full HD (1920 x 1080) VA Gaming Monitor:
Acer Nitro KG241Y Sbiip 23.8” Full HD (1920 x 1080) VA Gaming Monitor Review:
Ergonomics:
This monitor comes with a flat screen, having dark black color. This monitor does not have an IPS glow so it gives us three-dimensional images or views especially when are using this monitor in a dark room. The stand of the monitor is fairly strong, but it’s tilt-only by -5°/15°.
The screen is VESA mount compatible via the 100x100mm pattern and has a light matte anti-glare coating against reflections. It can support HDMI 2.0 ports and DisplayPort 1.2 input. AMD FreeSync supports both
Panels:
This monitor supports VA planes, VA technology also has its drawbacks IPS panels are much better than VA panels. It has a 178-degree viewing angle but it is not better than the 178-degree viewing angle of IPS planes because of some gamma and saturation shifts.
Colors:
This monitor has 72% NTSC color gamut coverage, which is almost equal to 100% sRGB gamut size. This doesn’t mean that the monitor covers the entire sRGB color space.
In some places, it extends beyond sRGB, but there’s also some under-coverage. Depending on the unit, you’ll get around 95% coverage of the actual sRGB color space, which is decent, though there are displays with wider color gamuts available around this price range.
Further, this monitor has a brightness of 250 nits, and the 1920×1080 FHD resolution gives a pixel density of 92.56 PPI. Acer Nitro KG241Y monitor can support proper HDR10 signal but it does not have proper HDR ( high dynamic range ) hardware and HDR monitors offer improved contrast ratio.
Performance:
There are three response time overdrive modes:
- Off
- Normal
- Extreme
I recommend using normal mood for better performance, on the other hand, input lag is perfect and well done with only ~4ms of delay, which is undetectable.
Refresh Rate:
It has a refresh rate of 165Hz, Meaning that you can enjoy games at 140 Frames per second which is an insanely smooth frame rate.
You can use VRB ( visual response boost) which uses backlight strobing to reduce perceived motion blur at the cost of the image brightness.
The Pros:
- High contrast ratio for deep blacks
- Plenty of features, including VRR and MBR up to 165Hz
- Not expensive
The Cons:
- Moderate ghosting in fast-paced games, particularly where dark pixels are involved
- Prone to VRR brightness flickering
- Tilt-only stand
