Intel UHD 620 Graphics

Intel UHD Graphics 620 Review and Performance:

Intel UHD Graphics 620 is a 14nm chipset that is best on Intel Kaby Lake GT2 graphics. Intel UHD Graphics 620 comes with the support of DirectX 12 which will be a key feature for your gaming because all of the latest games now require at least DirectX 11 or 11.1 so you will get Directx12 here for better performance. Intel released this UHD Graphics 620 on 1st September 2017. The base clock of this graphics processor is 300MHz and the boost clock will be up to 1150MHz.

It supports all the graphics outputs like DP HDMI DVI VGA etc. It comes with the support of 4K with a maximum resolution of HDMI up to 4096 x 2304. It has some of Intel’s latest technology features like Intel quick sync video, intel clear HD video, etc.

If your laptop has a good size L3 cache with the support of DDR3 or DDR4 Ram and also it should have a good clock speed if all is good then your Intel UHD Graphics 620 can give you the best and leverage performance. In our test, Intel UHD 620 has beaten all the other integrated laptop GPUs comparing them by performance and by gaming FPS scores.

So actually this Intel UHD Graphics 620 comes with no integrated graphics memory but what you do is that it accesses the RAM or main memory of your laptop or system and makes a shared graphics memory with the help of Ram, cache, and processor after this the performance will be depended on the speed of the processor and size of the cache and the Ram installed in your system, but I will tell you that it has a better performance as compared to other many of low-end external PC graphics cards because the intel chip for Intel 620 UHD graphics is so powerful as compared to those low-end graphics cards.

Performance Comparison:

Intel HD Graphics 630 has lower performance compared to Intel UHD Graphics 620 and also we compared it with Nvidia GeForce 910M and 920M all scored lower than this Intel UHD 620 graphics but Nvidia’s 940MX and Nvidia’s MX150 both scored a bit higher than Intel UHD Graphics 620 in some tests. If you want an efficient and reliable laptop then you have to buy a laptop with Intel UHD Graphics 620 only but if you want the best performance then you can go for a laptop with the latest Nvidia integrated graphics but that will cost you more.

Most Commonly Used Laptops GPU:

Intel UHD Graphics 620 is the most used or common laptop graphics processor which is used in the 8th generation of Intel laptops mostly. There is a little difference between Intel UHD Graphics 620 and Intel HD Graphics 620 and the difference is only 100MHz because Intel UHD Graphics 620 comes with a maximum of 1,150MHz and on the other side Intel HD 620 Graphics comes with 1,050MHz so it’s an advanced and optimized version of Intel HD 620 Graphics.

Features:

Intel UHD Graphics 620 comes with a 10Bit color video engine and it supports H.265/HEVC which means you can watch 4K videos and anything easily. If you want to have HDMI 2.0 then it’s easy what do you need to get an external connector for it? This Intel UHD Graphics 620 is the most common GPU in compact laptops and ultrabooks, they don’t cost so much power and will give an efficient performance that will help your battery to last longer. We have tested so many of the latest games on it like GTA 5, FIFA 17, Tomb Raider, sleeping dogs, battlefield 1 Need For Speed Run, and many others games, just check the benchmarks test below.
